I hold a somewhat sore spot in my heart for Valentine’s Day, for the sole reason that it steals my birthday’s thunder. Even the best of friends can’t help choosing a make-out session/crying-and-eating-ice cream-alone session over hanging out with da birfday chick. Damn you Hallmark. But it’s really not so bad since those heart-shaped boxes of chocolates are half-price the day after.
